What happened

OKXICE, owned equally by Intercontinental Exchange and OKX’s U.S. holding company, filed a public notice dated October 4. It proposes tokenized NMS stocks paired with stablecoins in permissioned Uniswap v4 pools on XLayer.

The filing says the venue is not SEC-registered and the SEC has not endorsed its merits. Access requires identity, sanctions and wallet screening; third-party tokenizers would hold underlying shares one-for-one through a broker-dealer.

Why it matters

The filing is more concrete than a product teaser, but it is still a proposed venue operating under conditional relief. Around-the-clock access does not remove liquidity, custody, smart-contract or price-divergence risk.

What to watch

Watch the launch date, SEC response, eligible jurisdictions, tokenizer attestations, fees and real liquidity.
