What happened

Clef has 27 billion parameters; Clef-flash has nine billion. Both list a 64K-token context. They return probabilities over allowed answers rather than free-form prose. Workers AI hosts both models, while downloadable weights offer a separate deployment route.

Why it matters

This design may simplify routing, classification and agent checks. A probability still needs calibration against real errors; Cloudflare’s own benchmark results do not establish reliability for every organization.

What to watch

Watch for independent calibration tests and production latency measurements that include network and application overhead.
