What happened

RoboParty’s release describes RP1’s September 28 IROS debut and demonstrations of balance recovery. It says motion-control software, simulation, SDKs and training tools will be opened progressively.

iNC / Analysis

Why it matters

A demonstration and an open-source roadmap are different milestones. Research teams evaluating RP1 should check what can actually be downloaded, the licence of each component and whether another laboratory can reproduce the results. The announcement does not establish independent performance comparisons or that the entire planned stack is already available.

What to watch

Watch for repository releases, component licences, procurement details and independently reproduced demonstrations.
