What happened

Released October 1, Strands Decider uses a Qwen3.5-2B base with an adapter and scoring head. The model card identifies strands-decider-2B-hobson-v19 and Apache 2.0 licensing. It supports local CPU or GPU use. The card reports 167 correct answers on 231 public JevBench tasks; these are developer-reported results, not an independent evaluation.

iNC / Analysis

Why it matters

A smaller decision component could reduce the work sent to a larger agent model, but confidence scores need testing on the actual workload. The card flags weaknesses on longer, multistep material. Teams should compare error costs as well as latency before replacing an existing router.

What to watch

Watch for independent replication, workload-specific calibration and clearly versioned changes beyond the v19 reference checkpoint.
